Secrets Maroma was an amazing honeymoon resort and The honeymoon was great. We had a awesome time at the pool and the beach and the spa. The perks offered by the resort for honeymooners were outstanding plus the food was outstanding and the service was excellent.

We loved the proximity to the pool & beach. Everything was very close including the restaurants and spa but we enjoyed how nice the people were and accommodating.

We loved the free perks we got a romantic dinner at the beach & free massages. I think as our first time in Cancun Mexico it was a great experience and we totally our planning on going back.

How did the honeymoon turn out in general?
The honeymoon was simply amazing! Words cannot describe the amount of fun, romance, and bonding that we shared there as newlyweds. After being together for over six years, and finally being able to afford our dream wedding, we were shocked to get our dream honeymoon as well.

What did you like best about the resort(s) you stayed at?
We could go on for hours about what we loved about Secrets Maroma. This is one of the most beautiful places either of us have EVER visited!! It was simply breathtaking. The beaches consisted of pure white sand, and unspeakably beautiful turquoise water. Not to mention the resort was blinding with beauty as well. From the moment you arrive you cannot help but to notice the amazing architecture, and curb appeal. Then you meet the nicest staff possible! It is unquestionable that these individuals love what they do. We were greeted like celebrities, with a bottle of bubbly and chilled aloe towels just for check in. From that moment on, we literally did not have to lift another finger. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better at this ALL INCLUSIVE paradise destination, you had the food. Then you knew it was paradise. Every meal was cooked to perfection, and not once of the eight days we were there could we say that we were hungry. Another great perk of this all inclusive resort was that alcohol was included. Unlike a cruise were you are surprised with a $1,200 liquor bill at the end of the trip, here it is drink as much and as often as you’d like. The best part about it is you don’t have to drink much here because the drinks were actually made very generously. Another fabulous surprise at Secrets Maroma were the evening shows. Since you cant stare at the breath taking beaches in the dark, you can watch a verity of AWESOME shows. From gymnast fire dancers, to mind boggling hypnotist, there was never a dull night at the resort. You almost feel guilty for sleeping, because you might be missing
out on something.

What about the destination(s) in general?
We were a little concerned about the weather before we had arrived at Secrets Maroma. The ten day forecast said thunder storms literally everyday that we were going to be there. The funny part is over our eight day honeymoon we maybe saw twenty minutes of rain. The weather was perfect. Every morning we were on the beach, and could have literally recorded one of those Corona commercials any day. I myself am in the United States Army, so in my line of work, it is rare that I get a chance to not only relax, but to see paradise as well. The only sand that I typically get see is located in places like Iraq or Afghanistan. My wife is a full time student, and works full time as a waitress. So needles to say we were both ready for a five star destination. As stated before, this place is definitely that. Relaxation is literally mandatory here. The environment alone forces you to not have a worry in the world. It’s almost as if time simply freezes here. While napping on the stunning beaches you never have to worry about waking up to a child crying or screaming either, because Secrets Maroma is ages eighteen and over. My wife and I are both beach people, but love history as well. The great thing about this paradise destination is that you are located in a very neutral area. After no more than a twenty-five to thirty minute drive we were at the Mayan Ruins. Once again… BREATHTAKING! If laying on the beaches with a million dollar view at your feet just isn’t  enough, then you should be more than satisfied with the Ruins, plus a trip into the jungle. While in the jungle we were able to view the scenery from a “different” view while zip-lining over the treetops, and repelling into fresh water swimming caves. It was undesirable. Once again this truly is a Paradise Destination!

There truly is nothing negative to say about this resort, or destination.

Highlight of the honeymoon?
We both agree that the highlight of our honeymoon was simply the element of surprise. We were both shocked! After just having out dream wedding, we didn’t think life could get any better, and then the honeymoon just put it over the top. Being our first all inclusive trip we didn’t know what to expect, but can both say with confidence that what we got was much more than we thought imaginable. The food was beyond exquisite, the beaches like stated a million times before were literally breathtaking, and the staff was amazing. We expected great service, but great can’t begin to compare to what we actually received. Not to mention, we were unaware of the fact that there were evening shows, and they weren’t just your run of the mill shows, they all left you speechless.  When you can’t even find one specific highlight, thats when you know that you experienced the perfect honeymoon.

Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients?
One surprise for me was that at Secrets Maroma, pants were required for men at all restaurants for dinner. Luckily I did have enough pants, but is a good heads up to give before traveling to this destination.

When we called Secrets Maroma directly, the price was almost double than what Vicky Madruga at Unforgettable Honeymoons got us. My first recommendation is to go to Secrets Maroma if you haven’t already. My second recommendation is to only use Unforgettable Honeymoons for booking your trip.

Was our service what you expected?
To be honest, no. It was SO MUCH BETTER than we could have expected. Vicky Madruga made our experience better than perfect! Not only was she one of the nicest people I have ever worked with, but she was above and beyond the top in customer service. I felt like I was working with a friend while booking our honeymoon. She made sure that booking our honeymoon was the easiest route possible. Her responses to my emails were lightning fast, and because of her I literally didn’t have to stress once. Then to top it off my wife and I received a welcome home email from Vicky, just making sure that everything went great. The customer service at Unforgettable Honeymoons is by far the best my wife or I had ever experienced. Thank you guys so much!!

Could we have done more to make your trip smoother?
Not a thing, it was picture perfect. To be honest it went so smooth, that at the time it felt like a dream! Thank you again Unforgettable Honeymoons, for not only giving us the best honeymoon imaginable, but for saving us money as well!
