How did the honeymoon to St Lucia turn out? 

Absolutely incredible – could truly not have been better!

What did you like best about the resort you stayed at- Calabash Cove? 

Calabash Cove was so intimate and private, it had a gorgeous view, and the food was incredible. The service was top-notch. Seriously, everything about it was wonderful.

Calabash Cove: How was the vibe? Location? Service? Food quality? Romance?

Romantic, intimate, amazing! Everything was amazing!

What about the destination(s) in general?

GORGEOUS!!! The weather was beautiful and the views were out of this world.

Nothing!

Highlight of your St Lucia honeymoon?

We did the Tout Bagay excursion and it was awesome! We felt like we got to see a lot of the island in one day and do all the things we would have liked to do throughout the week, all at once. I think the highlight was having the option at the resort to spend the morning at the beach, the afternoon by the pool, and the early evening by our private plunge pool.

Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients?

I don’t think so! Renee covered everything!

How did the honeymoon (and wedding) turn out in general?   

Our honeymoon was everything we could have ever dreamed of. Before COVID, we were planning an Italy honeymoon. While Italy would have also been amazing, we couldn’t be happier we ended up traveling to St. Lucia, particularly staying at Calabash Cove in a cottage. If you want a relaxing, romantic, carefree honeymoon, this is the place to go. Our hardest decision of the day was pool or beach first. It was truly a dream. 

What did you like best about Calabash Cove, St Lucia

We loved the intimate experience the resort offered. With only 25 rooms available, it never felt crowded. We truly felt like we had the place to ourselves and never worried about getting a beach or pool chair, or a preferred table at dinner. It was the most romantic, serene resort we both had ever been to with the best views in the world.

What about St Lucia in general for a honeymoon in the Caribbean? 

The destination was a beautiful Caribbean island.  The employees were all SUPER friendly and accommodating. They truly go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. The island has beautiful greenery and wildlife. We saw at least 50 dolphins when we went on our excursion. It was beautiful.

 

Highlight of your St Lucia Calabash Cove honeymoon?  please tell us about any excursions/day trips?) 

Our highlight of the trip was our excursion. We left early in the morning and got back in the evening so it was a full day excursion. I believe it was called “toots begay” meaning “everything.” We started the day off with a catamaran ride around the island where we saw all the popular resorts, beautiful island landscapes, and 50+ dolphins. We first went to the mud bathes, which was amazing. You bathe in hot spring baths and then use natural mud scrub. It made our skin feel amazing!! After we head to a local spot for lunch, which offered delicious local cuisine. Then we went to a waterfall. After we got back on the catamaran for some snorkeling. Some of the best snorkeling I’ve done! We ended the trip with rum punch and dancing on the catamaran! It was truly a blast and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes to have a good time!

Any other comments about Calabash Cove, St Lucia? 

We highly recommend clients splurging for the cottages. The romance was worth it for a honeymoon.

Was Unforgettable Honeymoons Planning Service what you expected. 

Your service was fantastic! It was easy planning especially while planning a wedding. I’d recommend your company to all. The private dinner included was also amazing! Also, the private transfers to and from the airport was organized and reputable. The car service was clean and the drivers were friendly. We can’t wait to plan our 1-year anniversary to Italy!

Calabash Cove Honeymoon in St Lucia was Fantastic

The honeymoon was fantastic. The resort Calabash Cove was incredible – St. Lucia as a whole is breathtaking, with mountains, rainforests, beaches, and a whole variety of amazing scenery in a relatively small area. The hotel staff was great. Overall, it was a trip of a lifetime.
As for Calabash Cove, you’re always just a few steps away from somewhere to lounge and relax to take in the views (hammocks, lounge chairs, the beach, etc.). Was our service what you expected? Unforgettable Honeymoons did a great job setting up our honeymoon, which turned out about as great as we could have wished.

The hotel Calabash Cove was AMAZING!

The food, the weather, the staff, the cottage, the beach…all were so great and exceeded our expectations.

How did your St Lucia honeymoon turn out in general?

The honeymoon was fantastic. Everything was beyond our expectations and we had a great time. Renee and Unforgettable Honeymoons made it a truly magical experience!

Highlight of the honeymoon? We took a helicopter ride that went around the whole island…truly breathtaking!

Any other comments?

We could not have been happier with our honeymoon, and a large part of that was due to Renee and Unforgettable Honeymoons. In our opinion, Renee went above and beyond what her job was and truly showed to us that she not only wanted us to have a great trip, but was there every step of the way to ensure that it happened.

I couldn’t even imagine what would have happened if we had booked through someone else. I would recommend Unforgettable Honeymoons to anybody and everybody looking to book a honeymoon. The packages were great and the service was exceptional!

Could we have done more to make your trip smoother?

I am not sure how any more could have been done.

Perfect St Lucia Honeymoon at Calabash Cove Resort St Lucia 

This hotel is absolutely Lovely. We took a private sailboat cruise this morning, and had a lovely dinner at the hotel last night. I can’t remember the last time I was this relaxed, their cottages with pools are perfect.  thank you Unforgettable honeymoons for helping us make the right pick for our St Lucia honeymoon.  We loved Calabash Cove and the oceanfront cottage with pool was perfect

How did the honeymoon (turn out in general)?   We truly had a blast on our honeymoon. It was very relaxing to say the least. My biggest concern going into our stay with Calabash Cove was that there would be a lack of things to do because it is a smaller resort when compared to places like Sandals, however, this was just not the case. We were able to easily book excursions outside the resort and even some things to do while at the resort like their couple massages. The staff very tentative and and some the kindest service we have ever experienced. I really could go on for forever how great the resort was!

What did you like best about the resort you stayed at?When we arrived we were upgraded to a cottage which ended up being our favorite part of our stay! Not only was it secluded but the ocean-front patio and plunge pool made us feel like royalty!!  We ended up spending a ton of time in our cottage just because it felt like our own little oasis!  I highly recommend going with the cottage for a little extra money it is worth it! You can’t be the views.

What about the destination(s) in general?We really enjoyed the beautiful views St. Lucia had to offer along with the clear blue water! Everywhere you look was like straight out of a magazine. I stressed to unforgettable honeymoons that the white sand and clear blue water was important to us and boy did they deliver!

Was our service what you expected?

This was my first time working with a travel agency and you guys exceeded our expectations! I did not expect Renee to be so hands on when it came to booking, planning and just so responsive! I would not have been to plan a trip like this on my own and I am so grateful I had you guys to guide us to a trip of a lifetime!

Everything about the resort was perfect. The beach was excellent, most of the time it was like having your own private beach. The staff were as nice as could be and were always available to help in any way possible. The food was excellent, everyday you could try something new at the 5 star restaurant on the resort. Every morning at daylight the resort had staff raking and making sure the beach was spotless and perfect.

How did the honeymoon turn out in general? The honeymoon was wonderful, it was more than we could have ever imagined.

And about the destination(s) in general? St. Lucia is a beautiful island. The people, the views, the water are all great.

The least? There is nothing negative to say about St. Lucia and Calabash Cove.

Highlight of the honeymoon? The excellent resort. Calabash Cove does an excellent job.

Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients? Book the helicopter transfer from the big airport to the smaller island airport that is located close to the resort.

Was our service what you expected? Unforgettable Honeymoons was perfect. Leah was great and answered every question I had in a timely manner.

CALABASH COVE ST LUCIA was wonderful….. The honeymoon was wonderful and went flawlessly. My wife and I never expected to find someplace that we’d want to establish as our perfect getaway, but I promise that we are already putting savings in a jar so that God willing we can go back the same time next year. Go to Saint Lucia, stay at Calabash Cove, and have a vacation full of memories that you’ll never forget!

And about the destination(s) in general? St Lucia was beautiful and had the perfect mix of both tourist hotspots and beautifully private areas to explore. Exploring the unique aspects of the island was wonderful.

Highlight of the honeymoon? The resort of Calabash Cove itself made the honeymoon what it was. The resort was perfect and wonderful!

Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients? Take a full week to stay, relax and tour! Anything less is not nearly enough time.

How did the honeymoon to St Lucia turn out in general?  

Our honeymoon turned out to be 10 stars out of 10. It was a perfect week for us to getaway from everything- the wedding chaos was over and we were welcomed to a carefree, non-stress environment immediately. It was EXACTLY what we needed! It was a perfect balance of activities and rest. We did an excursion together every other day, and the other days we relaxed by the pool or beach and ate delicious food and the best drinks. We did NOT want to leave by the end of our stay. Getting back to reality was quite a wake-up call! But we both look back on our honeymoon with absolute joy and excitement that we started our marriage off exactly how we wanted to.

What did you like best about Calabash Cove, St Lucia for your honeymoon? 

Calabash Cove was AMAZING. It was exactly as advertised. I couldn’t say that for most other resorts I’ve ever been to. The best thing about Calabash Cove, which is hard to only name one, is that it was very personal and catered to our every need. That encompasses everything else- the food was delicious, and made-to-order if we asked, the drinks were great, the service was impeccable- the restaurants, maid service, calling for a taxi, etc. It was all done in a very professional yet personal way just for us. They even refilled our mini-bar everyday! We stayed at the Water’s Edge villa, which was attached to only one other villa and very private for the most part. Our favorite part of the villa was the outdoor shower- we even want to build one for ourself in our own home one day!

It was that amazing! To name a few others, we had our own private small pool, deck for breakfast looking out on the ocean, living area with TV and mini-bar, our own room with AC, and the bathroom was very spacious with a jacuzzi. I could have stayed here much longer than just one week! The beach was small yet a perfect size- very private and relaxing. I can’t say enough about the large infinity pool- it looked out over the ocean and was probably my favorite view from the resort. They had entertainment every night at dinner, which was really neat. We even danced our first night because the entertainer played our first dance song from our wedding reception! Very memorable for us.

and about St Lucia for your honeymoon?

St. Lucia is a beautiful island!! We were overwhelmed by the beauty of this island, considering we hadn’t heard too much about it before. The Pitons, the mountains for which the island is most known for, are incredible and a must-see in this lifetime I believe. We took a private boat ride around the island and drove right up to the Pitons. We also docked at Marigot Bay, a famous area known for its role in the old Dr.Doolittle and Pirates of the Caribbean. We also drove through the world’s only drive-in volcano and took a mud bath. It made our skin incredibly soft!

The snorkeling is breathtaking on the island, and we even rented some jetskis for a bit and toured the island ourselves. We still ohh and awe at our pictures wishing we were back on the island and had more time there. We also heard about the street party that happens every Friday night, so we checked it out. It was very much worth our while. It was a whole new experience for the both of us! Not touristy at all- it allowed to see more of the authentic St. Lucian culture rather than be treated as tourists. We bought grilled food off the street and drank their famous Piton beer. They played music in the streets and were selling St. Lucian jewelry, etc. A very good glimpse into their culture!

The least?

Although the island is beautiful, getting from one place to another by car was not that exhilarating. All of the roads are either badly paved or very windy and uphill and downhill. So it did take longer than usual to get from one place to another. All in all though, it did not affect how I felt about our stay in general. It was something to laugh about later!

Highlight of the honeymoon to St Lucia? 

The highlight of our honeymoon was definitely the Water’s Edge Cottage. We were so happy that we paid the extra money to stay there. Although we didn’t spend all of our time there, we definitely spent a lot of it there. With the outdoor shower, deck and private pool, you can’t go wrong even with spending the majority of your time there.

Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients?

Honestly, I can’t think of one thing that we wished we knew beforehand. We had read a lot of reviews beforehand so knew what to expect.

Any other comments?

This was my first and only honeymoon, so I wasn’t coming in with any other preconceived expectations. but hands down I would absolutely repeat the same exact place and resort again. I haven’t been able to say that for many places I’ve traveled to in years past. The resort was exactly as advertised not only by their personal website but by Unforgettable Honeymoons as well.
