How did the honeymoon turn out in general?   

It was amazing. Everything went so smoothly. We are so grateful to have gone through an agency so we did not have to plan that much. Renee promptly answered all of our questions we had prior to leaving so we would be set up with no hassles.

What did you like best about the resorts you stayed at?

The food and the views, delicious and beautiful. We felt like we were in another world.

Highlight of the honeymoon?

Secrets Papagayo was more of our relaxing resort – we went snorkeling, did some crafts, ate, had couples massage, and nightly shows

Nayara Gardens was relaxing and where we had all of our excursions. We went zip lining in the jungle (the volcano was on one side and Lake Arenal on the other side), horseback riding in the jungle (near the volcano and Lake Arneal), hiking in the jungle to a beautiful waterfall (private tour guide was so nice, he stopped various times on our way there to get out of the car and show us wildlife [a family of howling monkeys, toucans, parrots, vultures, viper in the jungle]), couples massage, hot springs, we hired a professional photographer who took amazing pictures of us, romantic meals

Was our service what you expected?

Yes, it was so helpful. We were definitely feeling decision overload from the wedding so it was so nice to have it be taken care of by a trusted company.

Could we have done more to make your trip smoother?

Honestly, no. We felt very taken care of.

We felt like we stepped into an amusement park filled with adventure and exploration! Luxury is an understatement because even though it was not all inclusive, the prices were fair and worth it for an unforgettable experience.

Amazing Costa Rica Honeymoon Review

It was AMAZING! We are so glad we picked this destination, it was my husbands first time out of the country and both our first times to Costa Rica and it outdid our expectations. We are so glad we worked with Unforgettable Honeymoons who arranged all of our flights, hotels and travel to and from the airport so that we could just arrive and relax and not have to worry about any of the details in between!

Nayara Gardens was absolutely stunning. It was the most beautiful place either of us have ever stayed in. Everywhere you go feels incredibly private, they did an excellent job with the layout of the resort. This hotel is also part of a larger resort that is all grouped together, so it was nice to be able to walk to the other resorts and use those amenities as well (we tried different hotel restaurants and used the other hotels hot springs) and the front desk was very accommodating and happy to drive us around in golf carts to the other hotels when we didn’t feel like walking.

The customer service was incredible here, and the entire atmosphere of this hotel was very romantic, with private cabanas, outdoor hot tubs and showers, and a private balcony. Even their hot tubs were individual so you never had to share. All of the restaurants we are in were delicious, and we had some of the best drinks of our life here! I REALLY enjoyed the fact that all of the excursion tours are private, so you are never stuck in a group tour with strangers. Everything was very intimate and it made the experience incredible. We would definitely come back to this resort (in fact, we’ve talked about doing so for our 5 year anniversary)!

Dreams was very relaxing, it was so nice that the beach was private and not shared by any other hotels, so oftentimes we were the only two people swimming in the ocean! We loved the fact that this resort was all inclusive, and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of restaurants (they had a grill, a seafood, Asian, Italian and Mexican restaurant) and the food was to die for. We tried a new eating experience every night. They also had nightly entertainment (karaoke, dance shows, etc.) so there was a variety of things to do. And several different pools, including an adults only pool which was nice and quiet and drinks were continually brought to us through the day.

Unforgettable Honeymoons was so easy to work with and they made the process so enjoyable for us – especially at a time where we were stressed with planning a wedding, it was such a relief to turn everything over to them and not have to worry about our honeymoon on top of everything else! They organized an incredible trip for us and we are eternally grateful.
