What Honeymooners Love About Hyatt Kaanapali Beach Maui + Grand Hyatt Kauai:
Our Hawaii honeymoon was everything we expected and more. Renee, our agent at Unforgettable knew everything about Hawaii and put together an amazing package. The Hyatt regency in Maui was beautiful, and the Grand Hyatt in Kauai was one of the nicest hotels I have ever been to. We felt like we were part of the islands jungle at both hotels, perfect locations. We loved our upgrades and perks that we got due to Renee’s connections with both hotels. Our experience with unforgettable honeymoons was great and I recommend it to everybody.
We had a great experience with Malaika at the front desk. She was incredibly thoughtful, warm and inviting Jonah the bell hop, the young sushi chef at Stevenson’s, Michael and the rest of the team at Pacific Dream Photography were all also fantastic and contributed to the overall good experience we had there.
The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa had amazing views, spa, pool and saltwater lagoon. The spa was very private with its own pool, hot tubs and lounge chairs – it was great to relax there with a book and cocktail. The main hotel pool was so much fun with its maze-like canals and waterfalls. We spent an entire afternoon relaxing in our private cabana and had a delicious lunch poolside.
The saltwater lagoon right next to the beach was unique and wonderful with its warm, still water – swimming in it was such a pleasure. The restaurants at the Grand Hyatt are each unique culinary experiences. The Swan Court which is great for bird-watching served a very good brunch, Seaview Terrace had magnificent views of the ocean and sunsets and served excellent poke (similar to a fish ceviche), Tidepools was supremely romantic with its lit torches reflected by pools of water, and Stevenson’s offered a late-night menu of high-end bar food and drinks.
There was always something to see or do in the hotel and we took advantage of everything the resort had to offer. We also enjoyed relaxing in our hotel room and looking out over the balcony. After a day of exploring the island, we often looked forward to just chilling in our room.
Our honeymoon in Kauai was filled with sight-seeing and lots of new experiences – we shopped in Hanalei, went snorkeling off the Napali Coast, and sailed to the lush Fern Grotto (the wettest place on Earth). We had an amazing time exploring the island by car and by boat.
The highlight of the honeymoon was the resort itself. It was so relaxing to swim in the many pools and the saltwater lagoon. The food was great and each meal was accompanied by amazing views and a cool breeze coming off the water. It was heaven.
Hyatt Maui and Grand Hyatt Kauai Honeymoon Island Hop Review
There were so many highlights to our honeymoon…. We were upgraded to the most amazing presidential suite at the Grand Hyatt!!! thank you Unforgettable Honeymoons
First we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Maui + the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. We loved how we felt like we were one with nature in Hawaii. There were the most beautiful plants and wildlife around us. The resorts were extremely clean and everything smelled fresh—you just have to experience it for yourself to understand. The breakfast at the Hyatt in Maui was amazing. The food was delicious and fresh and the scenery was the best way to start each day.
The honeymoon was more romantic and relaxing than we imagined. It felt like we were in a movie.
The beautiful scenery everywhere is breath-taking. It was so also comforting to know that you can be in such a beautiful place that’s still located in the United States. Therefore, all the excursions are regulated through United States rules. Everything felt so safe and comfortable.
There were times when we just wanted to stay in the room then go anywhere else. It felt like home. I would have to say that the highlight of our honeymoon was the excursions especially getting the chance to see so many whales. Whales were everywhere; all we had to do is look out into the ocean to see some. We also got to see some of our good friends who moved back to Hawaii.
Unforgettable Honeymoons: Your service was better then we expected. It was so nice to get our treats from you at each resort. Everything that was booked through your agency always turned out to be the most recommended by locals and resort workers. We trusted your agency’s judgment on everything.
How did the honeymoon turn out in general?
The honeymoon couldn’t have gone better. Planning a backyard wedding Jay and I spent every weekend and spare moment over the last 4-5 months either doing yard work or wedding planning. There wasn’t much time left for planning a honeymoon. We didn’t have to worry about anything regarding our honeymoon until the day before when we checked our flights. It was amazing to show up and have everything booked already and to book excursions when we got there. There was no stress related to the honeymoon before or during which was one of the best parts of the trip!
What did you like best about the resorts you stayed at? Hyatt regency was wonderful in regards to location, access to multiple pools as well as right on the beach. Several mornings we walked along the beach walking path or along the beach and had morning swims in the ocean to start our day! We had several pools to choose from as well and the bars and restaurants in the area were great. We were also only 10 minutes from Front street which has a lot of great shops and restaurants. The Marriot in Lihue in Kauai was great. We were upgraded without needing to ask from garden view room to ocean/pool front room on the top floor with complimentary champagne from unforgettable honeymoons as well as from the receptionist at the front desk. The staff was friendly and welcoming which added to the overall experience at this hotel!
What about the destination(s) in general?
Maui was great because there was plenty to do to be active and to keep busy however there was also plenty to do to relax as well.
Kauai, the garden isle was laid back however great to see with the car rental. We explored many beaches off the beaten path, dive bars and local restaurants and hikes as well as popular excursions such as Waimea Canyon (Grand Canyon of the pacific) and catamaran of the Napali Coast!
The least?
The only downside may be that restaurants and bars shut down early. Between 10 and 11pm in Maui and 10pm in Kauai. This wasn’t an issue for us as we actually enjoyed relaxing and getting up early to start the day and getting to bed early. For couples who enjoy nightlife the bigger islands may be better, however we picked up some wine and beer to stalk our fridge and if we weren’t tired we would enjoy that on the lanai with some music.
Highlight of the honeymoon ? Highlight of the honeymoon would be how relaxing and romantic everything was. From the views, ambiance and amazing meals we were able to share, being completely relaxed and not worrying about anything except following the itinerary planned for us and enjoying paradise was the highlight!
Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients? There isn’t anything other than knowing that restaurants and bars typically close early which didn’t end up being a problem for us.
Any other comments? We would love to thank you for a relaxing and amazing honeymoon! As stressful as wedding planning can be it was amazing to not have to think or worry about the honeymoon until the day before and fly off right after our wedding. I insisted on a 2 week honeymoon within a certain budget which I was told was hard to do and you guys made it work putting us in two great hotels!!!
Was our service what you expected? I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect and was concerned whether or not the hotels would be as nice as they actually were as we were there for 2 weeks! You exceeded our expectations!
Could we have done more to make your trip smoother? Nothing could have gone smoother. Thank you for the best honeymoon possible!!!
