Highlight of the honeymoon to Galley Bay Antigua? 

Being able to completely unwind.  It’s been a very stressful time to plan (and in our case, re-plan) a wedding.  Being able to go somewhere and completely forget about everything and live in the moment was the best.  When we wanted to go swimming, we did.  When we wanted to just lay out, we did.  When we were hungry or needed something to drink, we did.  I don’t think either of us have been that relaxed in years.

We had a really great time at Galley Bay in Antigua which was the ideal Honeymoon package for us,  we only wish we could have stayed longer at Galley Bay, as it was super relaxing! We made the most of it though, swimming in the sea and the pool, going to the spa, eating in different restaurants and touring the island.The catamaran tour we did from Galley Bay of the island was great

note:  There are no ATMs at the hotel or at nearby hotels, they are only in St. Johns so make sure you bring lots of cash for taxis.

Unforgettable Honeymoons  service exceeded our expectations and you really helped us in choosing our destination as we weren’t sure and also would have probably ended up stuck amongst a lot of Spring breakers if we hadn’t had your advice on where to go to avoid them!

Galley Bay the Perfect Honeymoon for food and beach lovers

The highlight of the honeymoon to Galley Bay was the food!  It was some of the best meals we have enjoyed. Day after day, course after course, they never seemed to disappoint. Everything from American to Caribbean to French cuisine, all presented fantastically!
It was incredible that I received such a great deal and such outstanding service!

Galley Bay Antigua Review

The best part of the resort was that it was secluded on it’s own beach with no other resorts or hotels around. So you felt as though you were on your own private island. They resort only has around 100 rooms, so it’s not a huge overcrowded place to stay. We really liked how the resort is eco-friendly. They don’t have any plastic bottles onsite, other than the 2 reusable water bottles they leave in your room. These bottles can be filled with water or even your favorite drink! Even the straws for the drinks were made of a paper product.

Another highlight was the food and service. I don’t think we had a single meal that we didn’t enjoy.

As for the service…..AMAZING!

Everyone was very nice and upbeat and did everything that they could to make sure that you had a smile on your face. For those that are looking for things to do, you can book excursions through Guest Services to go and see the island, but the resort had a decent amount of stuff to keep you busy as well.

There are a couple decent spots to snorkel right off the beach, including a sunken ship from the early 1900’s. The watersports employee’s will take you out to the ship on a Hobie cat. It’s less than a 5 minute ride.

The highlight would probably be all of the amazing coral and other marine life that we saw while snorkeling. The one excursion took us to Stingray City where we got to hold and snorkel with stingrays.

Galley Bay Antigua Honeymoon Review

How did the honeymoon to Antigua turn out in general?
In a word, it was MAGICAL!

Galley Bay was perfection! We could not be happier that we spent our honeymoon there. Whenever we need to go to our “happy place”, that is undoubtedly where it will be.

Overall ambiance/vibe at hotel: Casual Luxury; happy, peaceful, relaxing
Your suite/room: Incredible–breathtaking view that never gets old, HUGE bathroom with tub and shower, and step outside onto a perfect beach. Heaven!
Staff friendliness: Outstanding! Everyone there was so friendly, attentive, warm, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were enjoying ourselves.
Quality of food: Fantastic! Everything was very tasty, and there was a good variety of food to eat. Chef Gavin treated us to a lobster dinner on the beach, which was just one of the amazing meals we enjoyed while we were there. We have friends that have been there ten times, and they told us that the food has always been good, but when Chef Gavin arrived, he took the cuisine from good to GREAT.
Location/ Beach: Could not be improved on! Soft white sand and warm, beautiful, smooth turquoise water. Even when there were other people around, it felt like a private beach.

Main Highlights of your honeymoon?
Our boat tour with Captain Sean was probably our favorite day/excursion. Not to be missed! Private lobster dinner on the beach at Ismay’s was another incredible evening. We also took a taxi and did the Shirley Heights sunset barbecue, and that was spectacular as well.
