BOBCATS Museum

Our museum space dedicated to the Operation Bobcat from 1942 to 1946 is the result of a memory project initiated by the Polynesian Memory Association, Porinetia Ha’amanao, with the support of the Tupuna Tumu Foundation. Located on the first floor of the lobby, this museum offers our guests an immersion into the history of the American military presence during World War II, through information panels and TV screens.

Operation Bobcat, launched in February 1942, was the first deployment of the American military after the attack on Pearl Harbor. For four years, Bora Bora hosted thousands of American soldiers, permanently transforming the island and contributing to its international renown.
