The park contains examples of most of Aruba’s flora and fauna and offers a great variety of landscapes from caves with Indian drawings, to dunes and beaches, to rough hills of volcanic lava formations and the natural pool, to the highest point in Aruba, as the two tallest hills are located within the National Park Arikok. Natural Pool (Conchi)
The Natural Pool is protected from the rough sea by surrounding rocks and is located in the National Park. This unique formation of rocks creates a peaceful place and is also known as Aruba’s hidden pool. For thrill-seekers, this place is excellent for taking a dip to cool off and a perfect place to capture natural beauty with your camera. It is not recommended to swim in the pool when the waves are too high as it can be dangerous, please follow the advisories on display by the national park rangers. To get to the natural pool a jeep is needed, or if you are up for a long, intense hike, walking is an alternative.
On certain days the current can be rough and no swimming is advised by the National Park rangers, if the Natural Pool is open please take into account the water’s conditions and always swim with caution.

Aruba Weather
In Aruba the newspapers almost never publish a weather report. They don’t need to. Aruba enjoys a very healthy climate, making it a year-round paradise for residents and visitors alike. The average temperature is 82?F (28?C), with cooling trade winds and the rarity of tropical storms and hurricanes. Aruba lies outside the hurricane belt therefore the rainfall is very moderate, averaging about 16.1″ (408.9 mm) per year. And just as comfortable in July as it is in January. The difference between median day and night temperatures, and between summer and winter temperatures, is just 3.6?. The rainfall occurs mainly in short showers during November and December.
Great Nightlife, many resorts have their own casinos and great Las Vegas style shows.
No chance of a hurricane.. Aruba is a very arid island, not much rain to be found here. During the peak months of hurricanes (Sept/Oct) Aruba would be a perfect spot to ease your mind of any weather concerns.
Things to do: excellent snorkeling and diving, duty free shopping and fun nightlife/casinos! Tons of water-sports , tennis , golf.
Where Happiness Lives Windmills, lighthouses, twisted Divi Divi trees. Aruba’s unique charm stems from its Dutch influence.
Aruba – The Landscape of this Island Destination
Flat, cactus-dotted landscapes and brilliant blue waters make Aruba a land of exciting visual contrast. Just off the coast of Venezuela, it’s known for friendly Dutch hospitality, long white beaches, hotels with every facility, excellent watersports, colorful cabarets and spectacular casinos. Aruba is one popular island with its own brand of welcome. Its residents are devoted, gracious, energetic tourism hosts with eyes for detail.
English Speaking
Though Dutch is the official language, everyone speaks English and “Papiamento,” the unique local combination of English, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese which reflects Aruba’s interesting history. Official currency is the Dutch “florin” but U.S. Dollars and major credit cards are welcome island-wide.
Aruba Culture
The busy port capital, Oranjestad, distinguished by pastel Flemish facades, is a pretty patchwork of banks, business offices, historic forts and museums, cafes, restaurants and chic international duty-free boutiques. It colorfully combines Spanish and Dutch history with a picturesque wharf where boats of every type, fruit, vegetable and handicrafts stalls and European-style cafes line the harbor.
Aruba Countryside
Aruba’s enchanting countryside (“cunucu”) is not to be missed. Take in the famous 100-foot long natural bridge, carved out of coral rock by the surf, ride horseback around Arikok National Park or follow the famous wind-swept watapana (“divi-divi”) trees, lovingly known as the national compass. Legend says they will always lead you home.
Outback Aruba is home to more than 200 species of birds. And the island recently added its first real 18-hole golf course — designed by Robert Trent Jones. Lots to like!
