Anguilla has 33 spectacular and diverse beaches, including several classed as top ten in the world and the very best in the Caribbean. While they all have perfect powdery soft white sand, their personalities differ. Discover unforgettable coves like Mead’s Bay, or secluded lagoon beaches such as Little Bay, reachable only by boat.

In Anguilla, water temperatures range between 70ºF and 80ºF, perfect for swimming  yearound.

Little Bay bay beach : 

Little Bay, a cove carved into northwest Anguilla. Honeymooners will  enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the aquamarine water there, especially in the late afternoon as the sunsets.

Meads Bay beach: 

Located on the western end of Anguilla, Meads Bay is beloved for its aquamarine waters and gorgeous views. There are always chairs to rent and places to eat: many travelers and locals recommend dining at Blanchards Beach Shack, which is open Monday through Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (get there early for lunch).

The easiest way to get to Meads Bay is via taxi, unless you’re staying at a hotel that’s within walking distance of the beach.

The Prickly Pear Cays

The Prickly Pear Cays are a pair of uninhabited island off the coast of Anguilla. (about a  6-mile trip)  The islands are home to unspoiled white sand beaches and little else. Visit for the day to enjoy sunbathing on pristine beaches and snorkeling along coral reefs packed with marine life.

Katouche Valley Hike

80 Acres of Locally Owned Tropical ‘Rainforest’ Environment. It is the only natural forest of its kind on the island and is “one of the most diverse wildlife experiences on Anguilla.” Hike & learn fun facts about Anguilla’s native plants and their traditional, household and medicinal uses. Experience trees towering above you and discover traditional rare foliage unique to Katouche. Explore and learn about the cultural and horticultural experiences of Anguillians historically and how we currently utilize these plants. This hike is an absolutely fun and educational experience unlike any other. The Hiker will also receive a walk-in experience of Cavannagh cave.

Surfing in Anguilla

Anguilla has many surf breaks around the island for beginners and advanced surfers. Our eco-tours are an amazing opportunity to explore the natural side of Anguilla while learning from one of the most knowledgeable guides on the island. Tours begin from the Lime Keel House and explore the east end of the island. This includes historical sites and scenic views of Anguilla.  Surf AXA is surf and eco tour company in Island Harbour, Anguilla   based at the Lime Keel House, a traditional West Indian home restored into a multipurpose surf shop and heritage site that also comes alive as a bar and grill on the weekends.

Ready for some fun out of the sun? Head to Sandy Ground, the Entertainment Capital of Anguilla, where the bar-hopping is popping! Dance to the likes of Anguilla’s very own ‘Boss and the Horsepower Band’, as you move and groove to the sounds of the reggae beat.

  • SandBar elevates the tone with tapas and martinis, while Lisa’s Conch Shack is the latest addition to the strip.
  • The ocean view Sunset Lounge at the Four Seasons Anguilla in the West End serves Cuban cigars, fine champagne and Asian-inspired small plates.
  • Zemi Beach House’s Rhum Room is a cool stop for a taste of one of their dozens of rums from around the world.
  • Palm Grove, at the end of Savannah Bay at Junk’s Hole on the Southern side of the island is still somewhat of a secret hideaway.

Golfing on Anguilla

The Greg Norman-designed, championship course at the CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa, is open to the public. Avid golfers will discover non-stop views at every hole, and an absence of crowds, given Anguilla’s many other attractions. The rental equipment is considered top-notch by aficionados.

CuisinArt, offers fine dining options that make the ‘19th hole’ options particularly rewarding. Those interested in playing the full 18 holes are encouraged to schedule a tee time.
