Activities to Enjoy in Australia on your Honeymoon

Sydney Hiking Bondi to Coogee

The Bondi to Coogee walk is one of Sydney’s most famous and quintessential experiences. The coastal walk between two of Australia’s popular beaches is a stunning six-kilometre (3.7-mile) track that takes you through stunning beaches such as Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly, and offers panoramic views over the east coast shore. You’ll also come across ocean baths, the tranquil Gordon’s Bay and many brilliant beachside cafes. Plus, don’t miss the world’s biggest outdoor sculpture exhibition, Sculpture by the Sea, that returns to the coastal track each spring.

Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef

Be surrounded by Nemo and his colorful friends as you explore the variety of beautiful coral while snorkeling or scuba diving the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling and diving day trips to the Great Barrier Reef depart from Hamilton Island and Airlie Beach. Some of the most popular and beautiful places to explore include Manta Ray Bay off Hook Island and Black Island (or Bali Hai). For a really special experience, sleep on the reef in an Australian swag at ReefSleep, a permanently moored pontoon on Hardy Reef. Cruise Whitsundays will take you snorkelling on its luxury catamaran, and when the day crowd leaves, you and up to 17 other guests will have dinner and a night dive or snorkel before sleeping under the stars.

Paddle Boarding in New South Wales

SUP lessons at Byron Bay will not only teach you the basics of this fun water sport, they also provide the opportunity to spot some amazing marine life including dolphins, fish, sea birds, and sea turtles. This 2.5-hour small group tour with Let’s Go Surfing makes it easy to enjoy the unique experience of walking on water while surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape.

Snorkeling on Green Island

Green Island – a 6000-year-old coral cay situated inside the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The island holds a small rainforest (the only rainforest on the Great Barrier Reef) and the surrounding ocean has over 120 native plant species including a huge range of colorful corals. You can visit Green Island on a day trip, or stay overnight at Green Island Resort.

Kings Canyon

The iconic hike to the top of Kings Canyon is known as the spellbinding Rim Walk.

The Rim Walk will take you on a 6 kilometre circuit transcending down into the Garden of Eden and back to the top to wonder at the 360 views. Depending on what pace you take to absorb the humbling scenery, the walk can take around 3-4 hours. After you take in the views from the top of the stairs, continue your journey through Priscilla’s Crack made famous by the classic Australian movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert and to the first lookout across the canyon.
