Honeymoon Activities to Enjoy in Bora Bora

Bora Bora Island

Bora Bora one of the most beautiful atolls

You can see ALL of Bora Bora in about one hour! Its smaller than you think. This is a very remote, quiet island destination, however, there are a lot of hotels and some may feel it is very touristy – if you want a more authentic French Polynesian experience consider staying at Le Tahaa island resort , or the island of Huahine, which we book as well. Weather is not guaranteed to always be good, the mountain tends to get socked in a lot.

Feed the sting rays and sharks on Bora Bora

One of the most exciting and fun things to do on your honeymoon to Bora Bora! The Sting Ray feeding and Shark Feeding excursion is a must do! Also for free you can do that every day at 3pm at the luxury Intercontinental Thalasso resort in Bora Bora, it is one of our favorite on this side of the Mountain, and has excellent views.

Rent a jet ski and ride around the lagoon

This is our favorite activity on Bora Bora, and a must do. You can both share a jet ski and take a drive around the entire lagoon, it is truly a fabulous day trip about $300 for two people

Sunset Cruise on the Okeanos Pearl

Bora Bora sunsets are magical and the Okeanos Pearl redefines end of day beauty. Join us for an unforgettable cruise into the golden hour, complete with a selection of rosé, white or red wine, beers or soft drinks.

Sleek lines, zero emission, and heavenly surroundings get your eyes and camera ready for this unique experience! Exclusively at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa.

Water Activities

Water is a way of life in Bora Bora and with a lagoon resembling an artist’s palette of blues and greens, it definitely is the place to get in the water or underwater!

At the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, non-motorized water toys are available for your enjoyment : glide on the lagoon on a stand up paddle board or a kayak, snorkel in our Toa Nui coral garden, or just float and take in all the beauty and ‘mana’ the stunning lagoon offers.

Some excursions are not to be missed and the favorites include : shark and ray adventure, full day tour with snorkeling and beach picnic on a secluded ‘motu’ islet, jet skiing around the island, or sunset cruise.

Underwater Activities

In the Islands of Tahiti where air and water temperatures are pretty much 80°F the whole year, there is no better place to get underwater, whether you are an advanced diver or a beginner.

And with an on-site dive center (Top Dive) at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, there is no excuse!

Lemon sharks, manta and eagle rays, wrasses, eels, turtles and myriads of tropical fish, you name it!

4×4 Safari Tour

Bora Bora was an American GI base during World War II and remains of guns and bunkers can still be spotted on the the 4×4 safari tour! You will tour the main island and get to viewpoints that are only accessible with such vehicles. Parts of the excursion are real off-road and therefore not recommended if you have back problems.

Island of Tahiti

Your landing point in French Polynesia!

The Island of Tahiti is where most of the local French live, and not really the most ideal island for a honeymoon due to its lack of beaches, and things to see and do. Its a good spot to park it for a night or two, and relax before your ultimate Tahiti honeymoon begins on the outer islands. We would recommend the Intercontinental Tahiti (nice pool area, good views of Moorea, or The Radisson ( on a black sand beach) nicest hotel for peace/ quiet on Tahiti, hands down. There is one day trip you can take around the island that is nice, it takes all day and you see a waterfall .

Moorea Island

A beautiful small island and backdrop for the movie the Bounty with Anthony Hopkins!

(rent it before you go!) The island is simply spectacular with its jagged peaks and crystal lagoons, it is truly dramatic and spectacular to see. Moorea Is small, in fact, you can see the entire island in about one hour. There are some beautiful mountainous peaks and valleys, and great vistas.

There is one beautiful stretch of long white sandy beach on the entire island is located at the Sofitel Moorea, its a beautiful beach, it is a luxury hotel with a nice lobby, spa, restaurant, bar area. Moorea can be socked in by clouds due to the high mountain peaks. There are some beautiful vistas and drives, and we love the ATV tour.

Things to do on Moorea- ATV Tour we love this tour, rent bikes and ride around the island, go for a snorkeling trip, take a day trip to Tahiti, or take a guided hike

Le Tahaa Island

We really love this island, not as commercial, more authentic Polynesian- and it is absolutely gorgeous everywhere you look.

The resort here is private, romantic and very Polynesian. Vanilla island and Raiteaa are great islands to explore and offer more authentic Polynesian experiences than Moorea or Bora. The Le Tahaa resort ( private island) is stunning, and well worth it. check out our Tahaa Honeymoon recommendation

Visit the Vanilla Island while you are on Le Tahaa Island resort

Vanilla island is one of the most beautiful islands in French Polynesia, you can also do a day trip to a Raitea island where you do a river kayak trip. Vanilla island has a working plantation you can visit
