![]() ![]() Kona Village Resort- unique bungalow resort The 82 oceanfront acres of Kona Village Resort offers three distinct areas of Hawaiian lodging accommodations which we call “Sand,” “Lava,” and “Lagoon.” Within each area of the resort, there is a variety of unique, individual thatched roof bungalows, locally called hale (pronounced ha-lay.) Each is cooled by tropical trade winds and interior ceiling fans, is generously sized and includes thoughtful in-room hotel amenities. A coconut placed outside your door is our Hawaiian-style way of saying “Do Not Disturb.” The serenity and keen sense of place at Kona Village Resort is achieved in part by our lack of radios, telephones and televisions.
