High atop the resort's 18th-century sugar mill ruins, overlooking Caneel Bay, the Sugar Mill restaurant features delicacies of the Caribbean for dinner. The resort's executive chef has created dishes that introduce restaurant guests to the herbs, spices and natural resources native to St. John and the Virgin Islands. THE WINE ROOM- 18TH CENTURY PLANTATION HOUSE
The Wine Room, located within the walls of an 18th-century plantation house, seats up to 10 for private dinners. A prix-fixe, seven-course menu, carefully selected to highlight selections from Caneel's wine collection, is offered. The wine list is comprised of 265 selections to complement wine tastings and pairing dinners. The Caribbean's only fully operational, temperature-controlled wine room boasts over 1,000 bottles of wine. Open for dinner all week in winter and four nights in fall, spring and summer. SAILING AT CANEEL BAY ON A 50 FOOT SLOOP
Sail aboard a 50-foot Sloop on a half day, full day or sunset sail that departs directly from the Caneel Bay dock. The half-day sail includes a two-hour sail and one snorkel stop. Beverages are served onboard during the half-day sail. The full-day sail includes two long sails and one snorkel stop. Beverages and lunch are included in the full-day sail. The sunset sail begins around 5:30 p.m. (time varies depending on sunset) and includes beverages along with hors d’oeuvres. Day Trips to the BVIs
Explore the British Virgin Islands in a chartered day trip. Visit the Baths at Virgin Gorda, snorkel at Diamond Reef, have lunch in Marina Cay and then finish the day at Jost Van Dyke and the Soggy Dollar Bar. A current passport is required to both enter the BVI and then to return to the USVI.
