The morning tea stop is at Tamborine Mountain’s main street with its European flair, fresh produce, art and craft. Arrive at O’Reilly’s in time for lunch (optional), bird feeding and the suspended tree top boardwalk.

BRISBANE RIVER CRUISE TO LONE PINE KOALA SANCTUARY Duration: 5 hours Cruise along the river past historic mansions and enjoy an entertaining narration en route to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Come face to face with a colony of fruit bats hidden among the mangroves, and then enjoy some time in the world’s largest koala sanctuary; hand feed kangaroos and emus, experience an Australian sheep dog and sheep-shearing show, spy on a swimming platypus, see the birds of prey and cuddle a koala.

FREYCINET LODGE, FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK 4 Star Freycinet National Park is a rugged and beautiful area known for its granite mountains, azure bays and white-sand beaches. Uniquely set within the National Park, and with a spectacular waterfront location at the foot of ‘The Hazards’, there’s no better base for exploring than the Freycinet Lodge. The 60 private and environmentally-friendly cabins are sensitively-sited in coastal bushland on the shores of Great Oyster Bay. Timber boardwalks link the cabins to the main Lodge, where you’ll find two restaurants, a cosy lounge and bar and an expansive deck overlooking the water. Freycinet Lodge is a superb place from which to enjoy activities including guided walks, wildlife tours, 4WD tours, sea kayaking and the walking trail to the famous lookout over Wineglass Bay (voted one of the world’s top ten beaches).

STRAHAN VILLAGE, STRAHAN Set on the shores of Macquarie Harbour on Tasmania’s historic and spectacular West Coast, Strahan Village is the gateway to the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Strahan Village echoes the region’s rich heritage in its architecture, and accommodation options include cottages (some with spas) and terraces, as well as comfortably appointed rooms on the waterfront and Hilltop, with sweeping views over the port and harbour. Strahan is a comfortable day’s drive from Hobart or Launceston, and is the base for a wide selection of activities, including the Gordon River Cruise.

GORDON RIVER CRUISE Departure & Duration: 6 hrs (Daily from Strahan) The majestic Gordon River winds its way into one of the world’s last great wildernesses. Aboard the Lady Jane Franklin II you’ll cruise from Macquarie Harbour into ancient rainforest, stopping at the feared penal colony of Sarah Island.

Adelaide A sophisticated city with Mediterranean style cafe culture

ADELAIDE CITY TOUR Duration: 3.5 hours, daily This morning tour provides an excellent introduction to Adelaide, a captivating city with a defined sense of history. Appreciate the charm and character of the city as you drive its wide boulevards and parklands, visit Colonel Light’s Look. As a special treat, you’ll also visit Haigh’s Chocolate Factory (closed Sundays and all Public Holidays) to sample some of their excellent confectionery.

ONE DAY KANGAROO ISLAND EXPERIENCE Duration: 16 hours, daily Kangaroo Island is a wildlife haven that can be enjoyed on a day tour from Adelaide. Travel by coach/ferry to discover the best of Kangaroo Island. The highlight of the tour is to walk amongst a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions at Seal Bay. After lunch spend the afternoon spotting Australia’s native animals at Flinders Chase National Park and finish by exploring the picturesque Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch.
